Becoming a Military Musician

The band holds rehearsals every Thursday night from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm in the James Street Armouries. If you are interested in playing with us, please feel free to come out. We are located at 200 James St. N. Room 205/206 (upper level of the JFA). Our repetoire consists of military marches and concert band music.

How Can I Join The Reserves?

To join the reserves as a Military Musician, you must: 
1. be 16 by January 1st in the year you join
2. be a person of good character
3. be mentally and physically fit
4. be a Canadian citizen
5. have at least Grade 10 with at least 15 high school credits
6. pass a basic music test given by the Director of Music

You will have to meet the Canadian Forces medical standards, and you will undergo a security and reliability check as part of the standard application procedure.
